Kr\u00ed\u017e tak ost\u00e1va bu\u010f neust\u00e1lou pripomienkou n\u00e1stroja vlastnej popravy, tak\u017ee n\u00edm v sebe um\u0155tvujeme star\u00e9ho \u010dloveka, alebo je znamen\u00edm, ktor\u00e9mu u\u017e celkom ch\u00fdba p\u00f4vodn\u00fd obsah, a st\u00e1va sa len mystifik\u00e1ciou. Kres\u0165an bude v\u017edy v poku\u0161en\u00ed \u201evypr\u00e1zdni\u0165\u201c kr\u00ed\u017e, na nekres\u0165ana zase kr\u00ed\u017e a jeho logika odjak\u017eiva p\u00f4sob\u00ed ne\u013eudsky \u010di ako zav\u00e1dzaj\u00faci pokus o v\u00fdklad utrpenia. <\/p>\n<p>Na\u0161a doba sa hlavne v z\u00e1padnej civiliz\u00e1cii vyzna\u010duje hmotn\u00fdm blahobytom, prebytkom bohatstva a statkov, h\u013eadan\u00edm pote\u0161enia a z\u00e1bavy n\u00edzkej kvality, presved\u010den\u00edm, \u017ee v\u0161etko, \u010do je technicky uskuto\u010dnite\u013en\u00e9 a ekonomicky dosiahnute\u013en\u00e9, je vlastne dovolen\u00e9 a \u017eiad\u00face. Dennodenne tak zis\u0165ujeme, \u017ee odstr\u00e1nen\u00edm kr\u00ed\u017ea, ktor\u00e9 niekedy bije do o\u010d\u00ed, av\u0161ak inokedy je celkom nen\u00e1padn\u00e9, str\u00e1ca cel\u00e9 kres\u0165anstvo svoj z\u00e1klad, a preto potom \u010dasto p\u00f4sob\u00ed nev\u00fdrazne a vyblednuto. <\/p>\n<p>Celsus, filozof \u017eij\u00faci v 2. st., ohov\u00e1ral kres\u0165anov kv\u00f4li ich ukri\u017eovan\u00e9mu P\u00e1novi a kv\u00f4li soci\u00e1lno-ekonomick\u00e9mu postaveniu v\u00e4\u010d\u0161iny \u010dlenov cirkvi, ktor\u00ed boli ve\u013emi chudobn\u00ed. Dne\u0161n\u00fd \u201eCelsus\u201c oslavuje a chv\u00e1li Je\u017ei\u0161a ako u\u010dite\u013ea skuto\u010dnej filantropie, lichot\u00ed kres\u0165anom, \u017ee s\u00fa v spolo\u010dnosti d\u00f4le\u017eit\u00ed a ur\u010duj\u00faci, no pritom zahmlieva, zatem\u0148uje a ods\u00fava do zabudnutia to, \u010do je podstatnou a zdrojovou udalos\u0165ou kres\u0165ansk\u00e9ho \u017eivota. Popri novom \u201eCelsovi\u201c je tu aj nov\u00fd \u201ecis\u00e1r\u201c, ktor\u00fd \u2013 ako ho spodobnil Hilarius z Poitiers, ve\u013ek\u00fd biskup zo 4. st. \u2013 \u201ez\u00e1ludne zv\u00e1dza, nebi\u010duje n\u00e1s po chrbte, ale hladk\u00e1 n\u00e1s po bruchu. Nezabavuje n\u00e1m majetok (\u010d\u00edm by n\u00e1m d\u00e1val \u017eivot), ale obohacuje n\u00e1s, aby n\u00e1s priviedol k smrti. Nevyz\u00fdva n\u00e1s k slobode t\u00fdm, \u017ee by n\u00e1s zatv\u00e1ral do \u017eal\u00e1ra, ale strk\u00e1 n\u00e1s do otroctva t\u00fdm, \u017ee n\u00e1s poz\u00fdva do pal\u00e1cov a tam sa n\u00e1m dvor\u00ed. Neudrie n\u00e1s po tele, ale z n\u00e1\u0161ho srdca si rob\u00ed svoj majetok. Nest\u00edna n\u00e1m hlavu me\u010dom, ale na\u0161u du\u0161u zab\u00edja peniazmi.\u201c Kr\u00ed\u017e je tak \u201evypr\u00e1zdnen\u00fd\u201c bez toho, aby bol vidite\u013ene a priamo popieran\u00fd! A predsa n\u00e1m patr\u00ed naliehav\u00e1 v\u00fdzva, aby sme Kristov kr\u00ed\u017e nezbavovali obsahu!<\/p>\n<p>Mnoh\u00ed si aspo\u0148 raz v roku, na Ve\u013ek\u00fa noc, pripom\u00ednaj\u00fa kr\u00ed\u017e vo svojej plnej skuto\u010dnosti a pravde \u2013 Je\u017ei\u0161a z Nazaretu, \u010dloveka, u\u010dite\u013ea, proroka, ktor\u00fd vis\u00ed na dreve v absol\u00fatnej nahote, ukri\u017eovan\u00fd, ako by bol postihnut\u00fd kliatbou, nehodn\u00fd ani neba, ani zeme, opusten\u00fd svojimi u\u010den\u00edkmi. Umiera v opovrhnut\u00ed t\u00fdch, ktor\u00ed s\u00fa svedkami jeho potupn\u00e9ho utrpenia. Len\u017ee tento \u010dlovek je spravodliv\u00fd Je\u017ei\u0161, ktor\u00fd takto umiera za nespravodliv\u00fd svet, v ktorom \u017eil. On je vern\u00fd vo svojej viere v Boha, aj ke\u010f umiera ako hrie\u0161nik opusten\u00fd Bohom. Je Bo\u017e\u00edm Synom, ktor\u00e9mu d\u00e1 Otec odpove\u010f, a\u017e bude prech\u00e1dza\u0165 zo smrti do vzkriesenia.<\/p>\n<p>Udalos\u0165 kr\u00ed\u017ea, ktor\u00e1 sa odohrala v Jeruzaleme, m\u00f4\u017ee by\u0165 zbaven\u00e1 zmyslu prostredn\u00edctvom obrazn\u00fdch stv\u00e1rnen\u00ed a znamen\u00ed. My kres\u0165ania preto mus\u00edme by\u0165 bdel\u00ed, aby sme \u013eu\u010fom nav\u00f4kol uk\u00e1zali, \u017ee nemaj\u00fa vn\u00edma\u0165 ukri\u017eovanie a kr\u00ed\u017e ako pohor\u0161enie ani ako bl\u00e1znovstvo. Kr\u00ed\u017e je Bo\u017eia m\u00fadros\u0165 a Pavol vo svojom slove o kr\u00ed\u017ei (1 Kor 1,18) hovor\u00ed, \u017ee tvor\u00ed evanjelium, radostn\u00fa spr\u00e1vu. Preto kr\u00ed\u017ea nepoukazuje na boles\u0165 ani na rezignovanos\u0165, ale na to, \u017ee Je\u017ei\u0161ov \u017eivot a podoba jeho smrti ukri\u017eovan\u00edm rozpr\u00e1vaj\u00fa o Bohu, ktor\u00fd je \u017eiv\u00fd a miluje \u013eud\u00ed, aj ke\u010f s\u00fa zl\u00ed. Je to rozpr\u00e1vanie o Bohu, ktor\u00fd odp\u00fa\u0161\u0165a svoj\u00edm nepriate\u013eom pr\u00e1ve v okamihu, ke\u010f sa toto nepriate\u013estvo otvorene prejavuje, ktor\u00fd prij\u00edma svoje odmietnutie a zabitie, a pritom chce, aby sa hrie\u0161nik obr\u00e1til a \u017eil. Kr\u00ed\u017e teda otvorene prizn\u00e1va, \u017ee sme zl\u00ed, zveden\u00ed zlom, \u017ee sme hrie\u0161nici a nespravodliv\u00ed, a preto mus\u00ed Spravodliv\u00fd trpie\u0165, by\u0165 odmietnut\u00fd, ods\u00faden\u00fd a ukri\u017eovan\u00fd.
